  Problems/Solutions
PROBLEM: When I enter my user ID and password at the Blackboard login screen, I get an error message that states: "No authentication credentials were provided with the request".
SOLUTION: If you go directly to the Blackboard login page and bypass the Blackboard main page (ndu.blackboard.com), the system will not recognize your user credentials. If you have the login page saved as one of your favorite links, please direct the link to open http://ndu.blackboard.com and click the "Login" button each time you log into Blackboard.

PROBLEM: I was in the middle of an exam and I lost my connection to Blackboard. When I log back into Blackboard, I am locked out of the exam.
SOLUTION: Notify your instructor. He or she can remove the lock so you can complete your exam. If your instructor is not available, you can notify the AJPME Technical Support Team. They are also able to remove the lock on your exam.

PROBLEM: My lesson will not start. The screen says "Loading...", but the lesson never appears.
SOLUTION: The java plug-in needs to be installed. You will need to enable ActiveX in your browser settings to download and install Java. Also, you need administrator privileges on your PC to install Java. If you prefer to install Java manually, go to the Download Browser and Plug-ins section below, and download and install the Java 2 Runtime Environment.

PROBLEM: The videos in the lessons are not working.
SOLUTION: The Flash plug-in needs to be installed. Go to the Download Browser and Plug-ins section below, and download and install the Macromedia Flash Player.

PROBLEM: I am unable to open the lesson readings.

PROBLEM: I am getting a "SCORM Persistence" error or JAVA error when I try to start a lesson.
SOLUTION: Your network hardware firewall is preventing the lesson from running. If you have a personal firewall installed (ex. Norton Internet Security, McAfee Personal Firewall, etc.), temporarily disable your firewall when taking the lessons. If the firewall restrictions are on your network, you need to contact your network administrator to adjust your firewall settings.

PROBLEM: Content is not opening from my Student CD.
SOLUTION: A pop-up blocker may be preventing the CD content from opening. Disable any pop-up blockers that may be running on your PC. This includes the Google and MSN toolbar pop-up blockers and others. Windows XP Service Pack 2 installs a pop-up blocker directly into Internet Explorer. This can be disabled in the Internet Explorer security settings.

PROBLEM: In the SCORM player, I am not getting the navigation menu on the left hand side of the screen.
SOLUTION: Occasionally, a lesson will open with the navigation menu hidden. It is actually there but it is minimized. Try dragging the left end of the browser window to enlarge the frame containing the navigation menu. The navigation menu will be restored.

PROBLEM: While taking a lesson, I stepped away from my computer for a long while. When I returned to my computer and tried to continue with the lesson, I got an error message.
SOLUTION: Your Blackboard session has timed out. You need to return to the Blackboard login page, and log back into the system.

PROBLEM: When I am taking a lesson, my computer locks up and other "strange" things happen.
